  1. I think that maybe we could try and get Darrell Jackson here, he's a RFA this offseason with the Seahawks, keep Moose around for a one more year, and draft a WR in the second to be our guy of the future, also Stokley could help out as a 3rd receiver.

Too bad that's what everyone else wants, too. I dunno if there's enough to go around, much less expecting that rookie to automatically be the saving grace.

Gadsden would be OK, rather have Stokley. I'd like to see him get a shot. OG is more of a posession guy, where Stokley is kind of a combo.
I will say that OG makes some of the most fantastic ariel catches you'll see in todays game. He is VEY good at going up and geting the ball in traffic.

what's all this about Stokely? I just don't get the attraction. He's never had more than two scores a year, never started more than five games, never been terribly explosive. If we were going to take a posession guy I'd figure we'd at least get one that's fairly productive.

automatically be the saving grace? no. that doesn't happen. i said to get some young guys that can become solid starters.

byrd? bright? hankton? black? tolhurst? johnson?

smith and muhammad are the only starting-caliber names on this roster.

I also like Gadson because he gets enough respect that Smith "should" be able to handle a #3 role at WR, but not too much that Moose feels threatened. I think that's important coming in.

I think he can certainly carry a starting role, I also think he's good enough to push Moose, and push this team, to get better and to win. He's a good character guy, a playmaker, he's solid.

He'll have value, but his injury might keep his value down a little bit. He's on IR because of torn ligaments in his wrist. He's had the surgery and plans on being ready for FA, Miami or not, he's looking to provide a team with a first class WR.

    He's still my guy.

I don’t mind Gadsden and if we can get him for reasonable $’s them bring him on. However, he is more of a possession guy than speed and I thought we needed a field-stretcher. If we pick up an old “slower” guy like Gadson let’s go get UFA Darrius Thompson too. He can fly and the Redskids will probably be dense enough to let him go. Just because he has struggled off and on in Spurrier’s chaotic system doesn’t mean he’s a moron (he went to Baylor, not Florida).
Thompson caught six passes for 122 yards Sunday, a week after he caught six balls for 94 yards and a score. He’s a promising young guy with talent and speed. He has had a fumble and some drops on a few hard hits and Spurrier is already losing patience apparently. If they don’t resign him we should definitely give him a shot .

Gadson Moose Thompson/Smith (alternate with D.T. at #3), A Johnson, & Byrd or Hankton (judging by 2002 let’s carry 6).

    BTW -
Trevor Gaylor – He’s supposed to be a burner
Darrin Chiaverini – Someone compared him to Jeffers

Other than my above comments I don’t know jack about either of them. Who has an opinion about these two out there?

really no opinion on those guys...but to be honest at least one of the top four must - I stress this - be a rookie. We really have to have some more young blood in here. Whether you're looking for a vengeful release or not, both guys that currently start have a fairly short shelf life. Whether it's a FA and a pick or two picks, there's gotta be some youth here.
