If Rivera says that there are possibly 2 QBs within their top 7-8, he's the only one it could be.

I don't think a ton of Gabbert - he's not as talented as Newton - but he reads defenses and probably has common sense. Is he the best QB? Second best? I don't know.

reading defenses and work ethic is where Gabbert will score over Newton imo

I'm no expert on the guy, but the tape I've seen, he seems to shit his pants when he gets pressured. We have that already, I'll pass.

Reading defenses maybe. He's more experienced, so I'd assume so.

But again, where is this "Newton has no work ethic" line coming from? The guy shredded a Nick Saban defense without studying? Really?

I don't believe I said Newton had no work ethic just felt Gabbert had more.

And for the record as it stands today I don't think either is worth the number one overall pick.

I don't get where the Jamarcus 2.0 storyline is coming from, that work ethic is at any point a flaw. Doesn't match what he accomplished last year, and what the folks at Auburn say about him.

Nobody should be worried about Cam Newton's work ethic.

he could've gotten the notes from the sideline, since that was something that he apparently did a lot.
I've heard other teams do it too, but benefit of the doubt isn't exactly the greatest part of screening for a $50 mil a year job.
