For those that enjoy reliving their childhood, G.I. Joe comes on the Cartoon Network during the week at 1:00 a.m. You might want to set your VCR. I recorded one episode to make sure it was the cartoon from the 80's and it is!!! Now if they will only start showing Transformers, Voltron, Dungeons & Dragons, He-Man, etc.

When I think back to the TV I watched as a child, it is amazing to me the volume of shows that I watched, including each on your list.

GI Joe had too much shooting and not enough killing, though.

(Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.)

I used to love it when they would blow up a tank and the tank driver would get blown into the air and end up parachuting down.

The episode I watched showed Duke crash his mini-chopper on a carrier. The marine with the tatoo on his chest pulled him out and pushed the chopper in to the water with one hand.

Then "Shipwreck" was in an argument with one of the females and said, "Hey toots, you want to lose 10 pounds from the neck up?", I couldn't help but laugh. I thought it was a pretty good line. Especially in a cartoon.

What was Cobra anyway? A terroists organization like Al-Quida? And why was Cobra Commander portrayed as an idiot?

I'm glad I kept all my Transformers and G.I. Joe, could be worth some money in about 20 years!!!

heh. i watched the same things...always wanted the episode where the bad guys won though...i think because all the episodes went the same way.

cobra always had cooler weapons and greater numbers, but like gung ho would show up with his dog and all the cobra guys would just throw down their weapons and give up...never made much sense.

transformers was always the same...decepticons would spend the entire episode making "energon cubes" until starscream fucked it all to hell and lame autobots like bumblebee would roll in and kick decepticon ass.

    it's just not right.
