    The only reason I can see for not giving it to Jake is the notion that he is not all the way back. He has not set the world on fire this year. I still think he deserved it though. A player should not win that award two out of three years.

    of the guys that recieved votes Antonio Bryant should have got the award-he was out of football last year and played at a very high level

    Well, Delhomme did have like .3 more YPC than Pennington, so I guess he has him beat there.

    I'm not that concerned about it. I do think it's kinda funny he won "comeback" twice, when it basically comes down to durability issues.
    I would traditionally take the award to mean coming from the most adversity, not "this was a random year I played 16 games and had good stats".

    I thought Jake had a fine season. I think it's curious how up in arms the media as a whole is over Pennington beating Delhomme. It's hard to say either were that much more deserving over others, and it's tough to care about individual accolades. They're appreciated but not expected.


    so that's why you're defending your Miami guy again.
