Furman Advances in I-AA Playoffs

    Whipped those Gamecocks 49-7 (Jacksonville St. Gamecocks, that is)!!!!

    Oh, BTW, with the No. 1 seed team, Southern Illinois, loosing to Eastern Washington, Furman is now the top seeded team in the playoffs!!! That means definite home field advantage all the way up until the championship game!

    The Georgia Southern and New Hampshire game was a good one on ESPN. A good part of the game was played in a downpour. GS started out like this was going to be a rout and got out to a 21-6 lead but whatever defensive changes NH made sure amde a difference cuz they pretty much shut down GS the rest of the game.
