Fundementalism and violence in religion

    Anybody think that maybe radical fundementalism and violence is influenced by the age of the religion? Christianity went through major upheaval, infighting, wars, and fundementalism from 1100-1600 or so - and it really got nasty towards the end. Islam was founded about 625 years after Christianity, so that would put us right smack dab in a corresponding period.

    Just found this interesting.

    Hmm. It might be cyclical, but the blame still falls on the people, not the pattern.

    i dunno about age, tho i've made this point in the past. i would say, tho, that islam is really in need of a reformation movement.
