Yeah, being ranked #2 in the country is horrible.

 

And Leach would more importantly keep asses in the seats down at Death Valley. Nothing like offense to keep fans interested and alumni donating. They may have to fight Tennessee for him though. Still, Clemson looks to have the better athletes atm. UT looks like a Big Ten school this year (and last).

 

I love the offense at TT. The funny thing is both school boosters would shell out great money to get his services. If he plays his cards right he could become one of the highest payed coaches because both schools are desperate to get back to the top. But some morons still believe a guy that won 3 games this year is the best they can do for hiring a coach.

Lets see, a guy that was 3-6 or a guy that is 9-0? Who cares if the guy knows the area for recruiting. Great recruiting classes are great but if they don't show it on the field then fans will get tired of it and find a new coach.

There is no competition in the ACC for a few years to come. In the Big 12, you have to beat Texas, Oklahoma St., Oklahoma(those 3 games in a row, and also in the same division) and in the ACC you have to beat league leaders Maryland and GT. He is losing his QB this year and Crabtree has one more year then he is gone.

His team in the ACC would also be 9-0 and beat every(Alabama the only question game) team into the ground. Even if he lost to Bama he would have Clemson back into the Top 5 by this point. ACC doesn't have the talent to match up with the Big 12.

 

Yes, but recruiting in Texas is easier than recruiting in SC.

So you only recruit from the state that your college is located in?

Texas HS's have amazing talent no doubt. But if your good enough coach and recruiter you will get the best talent from your state but also other state's. Being in Clemson gives you a chance to go into GA, NC, TN, FL and there is good talent within all those state, especially FL.
