Since 2005, he has taken UT to two bowl games, 1-1 in those games. They will not make a bowl game this year and that is good enough reason to hire Fulmer? Clemson needs someone who has a proven record and getting better as a coach and not someone who has came from a school with a losing record. Clemson best option on the table is Mike Leach from TT. He is 5-1 in their last 6 bowl games and currently sitting 2nd in the nation.

So we pick a guy who has shown recent decline as a coach or a coach that is shown to improve his program every year and taking his team to the top instead of taking his team to an amazing 3 wins so far this season?

Why on earth would Leach leave TT to go to Clemson?

Klempson is no garden spot, but the West Texas badlands is worse.

yup... clemson should jump at the chance for Fulmer. Phat Phil knows the area and can recruit it.

I think Fulmer would be a great fit at Klempson. He sounds like he's local, he's got plenty of orange attire, and he knows the area as far as recruiting is concerned. I rag on the Tigers a lot but I really think that Fulmer would be a major upgrade for them.

Clemson wont hire a guy that has won three games after they just fired one for winning 3 games. They need a guy like Leach that has shown he will improve a team and get them to a national contender.
