Actually, I heard he's gonna hold out until the UNCC job comes open. He has spent many nights in Charlotte hotel rooms and really loves the ambience of the city. Also, his kids would get free tuition.

Hell, I heard that Bill Belichik was headed down to knoxville for an interview. He thinks that he looks good in orange and he has once been to a country music concert in the city. Not to mention....he can get free meals in any on campus cafeteria.

Rumor is Spurrier. I think it is just wishful thinking. Maybe Bowden.

I was stupid enough to take them (+8) against Florida early on. Once I saw that game though, I knew better than to touch them against the better SEC teams. Yikes.

The offense is beyond bad. The QB position position has let them down in a large way and they have dropped behind a number of teams in the SEC. I have been to a number of games in Knoxville and bringing a kid for an official visit is an easy sell. To see that crowd and experience that atmosphere makes a kid want to put on an Orange jersey and say, I wanna be a Vol. It's a little too simple but losing Cutcliffe spelled doom for Fulmer.

Let me add a few more candidates for the Ut job:

    Brian Kelly (Cinti)
    Todd Graham (Tulsa)
    Paul Johnson (GT)
    Kyle Whittinham (Utah)
    Chris Peterson (Boise St)
    Mike Belloti (Oregon)
    Butch Davis (NC)

I know Tenn will some how try to keep Chavis as DC. The defense is the only thing this year that has worked. Maybe they should make Berry HC!
