    Elite 8, on a buzzer shot to a team that played UConn for the title. Incidentally, Xavier, another A10 team, was also in the Elite 8.

    That little league has also produced 2 National Players of the Year in the past few seasons, and I think Martelli won a couple of national coaching awards too.

    wasn't xavier in the elite 8 that year? rhode island and temple have been to a couple elite 8s as well and Umass has been to one more final four than AlaBAMA. Too bad Bama wasn't in the A-10, they'd have an outside shot at a conference title. I'm pretty sure the top A-10 team competing in the SEC would get a lot better seed than the Tide typically get.
