my damn geforce 4 just died and I'm stuck with a PCI video card from the stone age. Max resolution is 1024 x 768 @ 16 bit color. I don't even remember where I got this old card, and it says rendition verite v1000 on it. Damn, this might have been a great card 10 years ago.

anyone got any spare video cards for sale cheap?

I've got an ATI 9500 pro that, when it works, can be softmodded to a 9700 pro, but as of yet I've had trouble getting ATI to accept the fucking thing for warranty.

I just bid $2 on a 9600 pro on ebay. I doubt if it holds up long, I'll have to keep checking it. It sucks being broke, it would be nice to just run down to best buy and pick up something newer.

Ugh. Don't do that. Shop around on the internet, you'd be surprised how much cheaper you can get things. 9800 pro was $170 plus shipping. I'm sure you can get lower for something that's a little older.

Not sure. Only tried once so far.

ahh, I think I remember the conflict...it's not a 9500 pro. It's that 9500 with the L-shaped memory. The serial number isn't 9500 pro, so it kicks it out, but they don't have a radio button option for 9500.

yeah, there's some pretty good deals, I just don't know how patient I can be with this fucking thing I'm having to use right now. It has a whopping 4MB of video memory.

    Yep. I know.

But their support form doesn't list the 9500 NP, just the 9500 Pro. So apparently I'm gonna have to call.
Doesn't matter, I'm just going to get a couple bucks for it when it's back.
