    Grumble, grumble, &#$*%#$)...furthermore, I'll bet the vast majority of the "winners" rarely listened to Ray Charles, some probably only heard of'im in passing. Musicians, my ass. :thinking: :rolleyes:

    99% of it anyway.

    BTW Mags, good call on Joss. Maybe in ten years she'll have an epiphany and put that voice to good use instead of this mariah shlock.

    My friend told me Wilco won "best alternative" - dunno whether to be happy or sad about that.

    In the last 6 months in Nashville I have given over $2,500 to;

    The P.E.N.C.I.L Foundation - Underprivleged School Children
    The YMCA- No, not a membership - YMCA's work with the Needy
    The Adventure Science Museum- Advancements in Community Outreach
    The United Way- Child Health.

    That doesn't include donated time.

    And since you asked, how about you?

    I wasn't the one barking about how the entire world should be canceled of having joy or extravagance because something bad happened elsewhere.
    But I regularly volunteer through the Jaycees.

    Would it be great if every single person had everything they needed in life? Yeah. I don't see what that has to do with the Grammy Awards, the free will of the music industry, etc. We all could/should do more, I'm sure.

    I guess when these "stars" start thinking about the bullshit they're unleashing on the world, and getting approval/recognition for it no less, they realize how fucked up the "industry" is, and feel that making charitable contributions will clear their consciences/somehow make it alright.

    tsk tsk

    It's probably the tax deductible part rather than the clearing the conscience part... :rofl:

    yeah, the Pro Bowl was a major contrast too, they should have canceled it so the players could go to asia and unload groceries for the tsunami victims. Oh wait, some players did go do that.
