    Oh shit! I didn't know that.

    Yeah they did a great job. Melissa does have that rough edge to her voice like Janis did.

    Joss Stone's a good singer, but she doesn't yet realize that belting out a song doesn't just mean trying to sound like Mariah Carey. Granted, she's young, but I'm just tired of singers nowadays thinking that vocal control = vocal ability. It doesn't.

    This is the first time I've seen her. I thought she belted that out just like Janis would've done.

    Which Janis Joplin never really did.
    It's not to say that Joss Stone shouldn't do that, I just personally think she won't be the true voice until her career progresses to the point where she realizes that soul isn't inflection and vocal runs.

    Really; Law & Order and Boston Legal beats the hell out of a bunch of pretentious bullshit theatrics any day of the week. Besides Ray Charles, what does the Grammies have to do with music, really? Oh wait, I know, it all depends on what you mean/how you define music. Leave it to a bunch of morons and marketers to define music....seems to be the way it is, eh(?).
