    It was killer to win.

    NO turnovers.
    Ball control offense.
    Suffocating defense.

    Oh YEAH!

Great to see all the pressure from the front 4.

The corners held up. The one long ball to Taylor was just an awesome catch.

Hoover stepped it up, Walls was his old self.

I would have liked to see a different play called on one drive that ended with Kasay's missed field goals - that third down should have been a pass. That's about all I can bitch about.

The offense is dull, but not when Foster gets back.

The crowd was a factor. That was a nice change.

well, it was nice to win. I wasn't impatient for one actually, but it's nice to get one. We are 1-0 and before that we were 0-0, no more no less IMO.

So we threw all we had at them. Hope we have something different up our sleeves next week, because we got by with smoke and mirrors and can't keep up with that.

Win's great. But tomorrow's another day, and I seriously doubt they get Wednesday off. Too many things that we brought upon ourselves for me to brush off.

Yes it was, I was admiring that one... kinda tipped it and ran with it for the grab...

Like I said, first qtr play calling sucked out the ass, the rest of the game was better... hopefully Peete will come along... I'm convinced we have to throw the deep ball, at least on occasion...

I was just happy that our defence stopped playing 10 yards off the ball in the second half. Prevent defence is pussy ball IMO. That and they as a team learned how to seal a victory.

I was screaming at the TV when the D lined up before that last Ravens posession. Praying they would stay aggressive and not sit back in the prevent.
Finally, some balls in our D play calling when the game is on the line!

Look at it this way. We are 1/16th of the way thru the season and we are already 1/4th of the way to toward the total number of victories the "experts" expected. I'll take it. Fine, another video to watch besides the Viking from last year.

Damn Mags, when did you turn into Negative Man? Fuck all the negative vibes, we won and a W is what counts in the end. You need to understand that we played vanilla all day today because it was what we needed to do. This is still a young and somewhat inexperienced team that's going to take a little time to gel. So, you'd be better off if you just chilled, drank a few beers, and rode the sweet wave of victory a bit.

Yea, we had few tricks. That was the difference really. The flea flicker to Moose got us the TD. But I think Peete needed that little bit extra this week. His first game in a while, and really, he barely looked tired in the end. He looked fresh. I was worried his passes would start to hang up there a bit. If Peete's purpose was to show Weinke what we need from him, then it was perfect.

Plus I think we played a good team today. Young, but they are a good team. Billicc said it's the best OL he's coached and they had 3 yards rushing almost mid through the second.

Our corners gave up some plays, but they made the tackles. Our Defense looks pretty damn scary and I'm surprised some of those Ravens were able to get back up. Hitting early in camp paid off I think.

Lamr Smith looked okay. Goings looked good, and Hoover too. RB by commitee until Foster gets in there did pretty good. We ran for more yards than we passed.

Aside from a few errors by Terry that killed three drives, the Panthers played really sound football. This game gives them something to build on.

On another Terry note. He put a hit on Ray Lewis that buckled him back a bit, and Lewis was bring a load. He got up pumping his chest, and Terry mocked by looking all limp in the kness and falling backwards, pointing at the spot on the field where they collided. Ray just turned and walked off.

in reference to the trick plays, we ran the reverse after running about 12 sweeps. if we run that many sweeps each week, we can continue to run the reverse. i also watched them work on the flea flicker in a few practices during training camp and if i'm not mistaken they also ran it in a preseason game. these plays are set up on a heavy dose of the run therefore, we are in a win win situation b/c the defense is either going to be on there heels waiting on a play like this or if they become overly aggresive on the run, we can always pull these plays back out. i don't think we've seen the last of these two plays run successfully.
