    So it seems the govt does the same thing to normal citizens as it does to huge corporations. I'm sure you know about the double taxation of dividends. Wonder if those in favor of not double taxing individuals agree with double taxing corporations?

    Assuming you mean corp's pay taxes on the dividends they divvy out that shareholders pay taxes on? Again, the fuckers.:smack:

    I put $50 in a credit union account years ago and just let it sit. I would get occasional statements and didnt worry about it. Since there had been no activity on the account in 5yrs, they assumed I vanished. I get a letter that my account has been closed and the funds sent to NC unclaimed property...WTF???

    I eventually got the money back but was curious why they did that. The mail they were sending was never returned to sender and I dont remember them sending any advisement that the account was considered abandoned. Those fuckers. :eatme:

    Dormant account. I had one that I just totally forgot about but the CU didn't send it to unclaimed whatever. I just remembered one day and called and they had reclassified the account from active to dormant. I'm guessing your CU did that to save money. You know, no more sending out statements, etc...
