Rusty Greer - OF - TEX

Rangers declined outfielder Rusty Greer's $8,066,667 option for 2005.
The no-brainer of the offseason. If Greer wants to try to resume his career after missing 2 1/2 years, it's expected that he'll sign a minor league deal with the Rangers.

 

Predictions:
Yankees throw a ton of money at Beltran but he signs with Cubs
Yankees get some pitching with Pavano and Milton
Pedro spurns the Bo Sox and signs with Giants

 

I dont think the yanks can get both beltran and some top pitching. Even they can't go much above the 200 million mark. Right now they probably want pavano, radke, and looking at a few others. There isnt really anything wrong with their offense, it's just their pitching.
