Yeah, he was on that post-LeBron Cavaliers team that finished last. Kind of sad that no contenders were interested in him.

Ray Allen to sign for a shitload less money with Miami over Boston. Turning his back on kg, rondo and pierce. Ouch

KG, Rondo, and Pierce are dicks. Aside from the hoopla surrounding "The Decision," LeBron and Bosh have conducted themselves with class. Ray Allen will fit that locker room much better.

he joined the cavs while lebron was still there. he was supposed to help put them over the top (and by that, of course, i don't mean he was supposed to be the sole reason they would win -- sad that i have to describe what "over the top" means on a sports board).

he was quite excited to finally be on a good team with a shot at the title, then the cavs failed to make it past the celts and lebron bailed, leaving jamison back on a shitty team.

he's been a man about it, tho -- didn't cry and beg to be traded.

KG is hands down is one of the leagues top dirty playing, shit talking assholes. I haven't been a big Celtic fan and resigning KG ensures that stays the same. From what I've read Allen didn't like getting benched late in the year, the persistent rumors of him getting traded (to Memphis before Rivers talked management out of it) and the way Rondo gets coddled by Doc and Celtic brass. I don't like Miami getting stronger but if it means Boston has a chance to get weaker so be it

He'd want to go to a better team, but I'd sure love to sign Courtney Lee.

I read where he said signing with Charlotte to be near his kids was a sure thing for him but signing with a contender to go for a ring was not a guarantee. I guess the joining the Cavs only to see James bolt is playing in his mind. I hope he does sign here. It will be good for the team all the way around.

wait, did that say jj hickson would want more money than humphries? is this the same jj hickson that was cut from a horrible kings team?

the blazers didn't even offer him a $4 mill qualifying offer...

maybe he's pulling a contract year ploy, but humphries has put together a great year. the way money is sloshing around this offseason (what lockout?) he should be able to get close a 4 year, $30 million contract from somebody. maybe a team option for the last year...

the gist of that article is right, tho. being under the cap opens up a LOT of possibilities to get free assets as capped teams try to deal.
