One of the objectives of an offseason is to upgrade personnel.

Yes it is. Just because Ginn is the freshest piece of dog shit on the lawn doesn't mean he still isn't dog shit.

Pretty much everybody agrees that Ginn upgrades the position. We didn't trade Murphy for another Murphy. We got a better player. Even you agree with that, so stop being a half-steppin bitch and let it go.

Panthers haven't had a returner that can break a tackle since?....rod smart?...Jesus! Yes I'm happy with ginn even if its just for special teams.

Ginn does fumble more than I realized, I'll concede that, but p99 pointed out that Adams' return-to-fumble ratio is in a different class of awful. Plus Ginn has proven that he can impact an NFL game in that phase. Adams hasn't. Getting hung up on comparing their 2012 return averages is pretty ridiculous.

The problem is you are willing to settle for something a little better even if it doesn't fully address the problem at hand and I'm not. Again, when you already have dog shit, a fresher piece of dog shit still stinks.

The problem is that you don't have a point. "The Panthers didn't get a great WR on a one year deal with extremely little cap space! RAWR! I'M SO ANGRY! HOW DARE THEY?!? RAWR!" It's pretty silly. When you're one of the worst teams in the league with almost no money to offer, getting a legitimate player who makes your team better is pretty nice even if he is flawed.

Except we've already discussed that fact that WR isn't the problem on this team. Plus there's some annoying thorn in our side called a salary cap. I'd love for us to go get Larry Fitzgerald, but you sort of have to operate within the framework of the league's rules.
