    Except that there's no labor agreement looming. It seems unbelievable but it is possible that GMs are finally starting to make good decisions.

    Or taking away the players union leverage by teams refusing to keep shelling out huge contracts to every player. Kinda "take it or leave it" your replaceable

    What leverage? Again, there is no labor dispute. The CBA won't even be an issue again until 2021.

    I was thinking owners collectively bringing down the value of vets or something to save $. Less money spent on vets more money locking up young guys to long contracts.
