There isn`t going to be any free agent money.
When do they set aside money for the incoming rookies? That`ll probably set them back 4-6 million.

He might be had on a one year "show you can still play" deal like Florence. The Panthers have no cap room but they do have playing time, so that can be attractive to players with something to prove.

I think Florence is ok. Don't understand the need to bring back Brockel and Hartsock since neither guy is good at anything. Why not replace them with one guy who's a better overall player?

I'd love to have Dwan back, but I wouldn't consider him a catastrophic loss. Especially if we draft a DT early which seems likely.

I noticed we signed Colin Cole earlier in the offseason. At least he can take up some space (hopefully). Sure would be nice to be able to add DEdwards and a vet safety before the draft. If not another DT. No money which sucks.

Those moves would really open up the board to us.

Cassel goes back to New England, Ryan Mallet gets traded to Cleveland, Brandon Weeden gets sent to Arizona, Kevin Kolb starts a car dealership. :twocents:

I have no expectation for Cole, but I'm quietly optimistic about Kearse. Neither one of them would fill the 3tech role though. I guess we could put Hardy there more often, but that unplugs a different hole in the wife.

Knighton was a beast early on in Jacksonville. I think Schiano might be able to bring that back.

Tennessee seems desperate. I do like that they're talking about using Locker as a runner more often. There's no sense in banging your head against the wall by keeping him in the pocket.
