You can't tell if a QB is going to be a franchise QB after a handful of games.

do you think that the Broncos thought they had a "franchise" QB when they drafted Elway, or the Cowboys did when the drafted Aikman, or the Oilers did when they drafted Pastorini, or the Jets when they drafted Namath?

"The Panthers have their franchise quarterback in Newton, which gives them something in common with the Saints, Falcons and Buccaneers."

    From Pi.commonsense:

"Brees is a franchise QB, Ryan probably is, Newton very well may well be one day and Freeman is on the outside looking in right now...oh, and Captain Morgan is a dipshit with apparently no link skills."

Fact is, anyone's interpretation of a "franchise quarterback" can be different, but it's disingenuous and downright retarded for anyone here to suggest no one has done so with Freeman or a spate of other QBs in the league. Certainly it's been said of Brees and Ryan.

I know it's cool to get on me too, about being a tough guy and all over the internet, but I'm not. I'm just stating the facts, that if we were to ever meet at a game, I would want to punch some of you in the face for being stupid. You'd want to punch me, too. Know why? I'm that annoying guy that's smarter than you, gets the girls in real life (unlike you fucking losers who scream out SHOW ME THEN!!11 PROVE IT11!! because you dont have any clue what its like to actually get a girl) and can force you to give me head, too, just by sheer intimidation, much less if you actually ran your mouth to me, I'd whip you so bad you'd piss.

Other than that, I'm not such a bad guy.

I have no issue with anyone trolling the site. I enjoy trolls, I'm just stating this as a simple matter of fact.

    As Cam says...

    Simple and plain.

Ryan's very good, but clearly short of elite. Freeman is solid, but has some particular flaws to work on. I'd say that Rodgers, Brady, Rivers, Brees, and Peyton are on a different level from everyone else. Roethlisberger is a franchise QB as well, but still a step down from those five, and Vick is looking like he belongs there with him. Then there's quite a few guys who are flawed but pretty good behind them, like Schaub, Ryan, Flacco, Stafford, and Romo. QB talent is just so ridiculously deep right now, and maybe the best its ever been.

    I know, right?

I sure hope he is, but he's getting the fucking treatment, man. He's the greatest rookie EEEEVVVEERRRRR!!!!1111

Jesus. He's 0-2. I love Cam, but he's 0-2. Let's not crown him yet. Damn, I hope he just gets better and better, and one day we can debate whether he's one of the best or not. Ya know, this all goes back to the argument whether he CAN be our franchise guy.

    I still think he can.
