Fox and the Panthers haven't been in the news lately and I'm wondering if this is good or bad news. Will we choose the right picks in the upcoming draft, etc.?

This morning's article said he left the QB workouts before Harrington came on...

Yea, it looks like Fox will hold true to bringing in a vet QB, drafting Peppers, and waiting until FA cools down to pick up some bargins. I think we're going to have an excellent draft and I would think there is a great deal of time being spent on player evaluation in stead of sitting by the waiver wire. This isn't like when Seifert came to town and we were making SC every couple of days. I'm trying to be patient too. Besides, I would rather miss out on a big FA than pick up another bust.

I imagine we'll go into the draft and free agency the way we went into the coaching search. I think we'll stay away from the big marquee names who may bust, and go with a solid workhorse foundation. It may take a couple years, but I think when it happens, we won't be a flash in the pan.

In the end I think the die has been cast (as in the mold, not the dot-laden cube). I think we've got a number of targets together for round two that have round one's decision in mind. I think that once that's taken care of, the third round will be for definate need, and that we'll end up seeing free agents targeted after the first day to be signed by the next week to fill holes.

I really am getting intrigued by the fourth rounder because it falls right after the evening break. Chances are I'll sleep through the pick, though. I slept through Weinke last year...I had a big "what the fuck" look on my face for a minute. I expected a back.

Really to soon to debate anything about FOX until we all have a chance to see his results (or this teams results) - but as always, I welcome debate with people that debate issues and understand how to express their opinion. I think the hardest thing for the average person to do is to seperate the person from the opinion.

In the professional world you have to learn this quickly or you fall fast -
