    Well, I wouldn't really think of Norwood as a potential starter so much as a situational guy who can be useful in passing situations. He could fill that 3rd down RDE role that I was speculating about in the free agency thread. Maybe I'm selling him short, though.

    I think I read somewhere that the coaching staff had told Norwood he'd play next season exclusively with his hand on the ground. Which translates to fill in 3rd down DE exclusively.

    it's still weird that Norwood is going to be at DE only. I mean, it's probably for the best that he stay at one spot but he just seems a better fit as a guy you can blitz a shitload (if he's playing), or drop him. Maybe they think he's horseshit at coverage. I mean, he's much better at rushing than anything, but... I don't know. We'll see.

    Plus, I don't know how much McDermott did it, but Johnson used a ton of 3-3 nickel, where the 4th guy could just pick a spot.

    Yeah, that would be interesting. I honestly can't even remember Norwood in coverage at SC.
