I have a timeshare that I want to get rid of because we are never able to seem to use it. It is in Myrtle Beach and the information is listed below:

Resort: Sheraton Broadway Plantation (This is right across the street from the popular location 'Broadway at the Beach')
Week: Week #49: 2nd week in December (every other year)
Unit type: 2 bedroom with lockoff apartment
Maximum occupancy: 8 people

We paid over $6000 for this timeshare and it is fully paid for. When we have used it, it has been wonderful for our family. Unfortunately, time constraints have not allowed us to use it as we would like.

This timeshare comes with a fully paid RCI account (timeshare exchange program) through March of 2008.

ALL WE ASK IS THAT THE PERSON WHO WANTS THIS PAYS THE LEGAL FEES FOR THE DEED TO BE TRANSFERRED INTO YOUR OWN NAME. That's it...no strings attached.

what they failed to mention was the $800 a year association fees......

I'm pretty sure they are more expensive than 800 per week. I'd hope you get more than 1 week a year.

Regardless, it kind of locks your vacation destinations down.

not really.....went something like this.

paid 10K 6 years ago....used it 4 times.....it's 3 bedroom with a bedoom lock out which means you can get 2 bedrooms one year and one bedrooms the next or all 3 once every two years.....it's on one of Greg Norman's Golf courses one exit from Universal....maintenance fee is $800 every other year so it comes to $400 a year.....it's not bad now that it's paid for....but i'm pretty much sick of Orlando and the swapping thing works out like shit because you can never trade it for Vegas or Cancun.....most of the time you get to choose between Williamsburg or Myrtle Beach....like I would trade for that shit.

so basically I've paid $3000 for each time I've used it in 6 years.....if I'd used it every year I'd still be around $2000......I need to use it atleast 12 times for it to be worth a shit......and even then we are talking about $1000 each week to stay in Orlando 12 fucking times......that's more like torture than vacation.....the golf course does kick ass though.

 

So they get 20K per unit a year for "maintenance"? Still an assload.
