    2 TE, 1 WR, 2 HB, shotgun.

There, I said it. Mangum at 2nd TE and Proehl at 2nd WR when necessary.

The thing that kills me is that they keep trying to run to the outside with tosses and sweeps with Davis. Foster seems to have much better acceleration and can get to the edge whereas Davis never seems to get out of the back field on these plays.

I think the OL does block well for Davis.. problem is it takes him so long to hit the hole that it closes up...and looks like they didnt block...
Foster just hits the hole so much faster ..
And they need to stop using Davis on the outside...

I think the run blocking has been pretty weak. Neither back is doing much really. Foster is catching passes and running draws but neither back is able to run consistently in our normal running plays. I am dissappointed with the Wahle effect so far.

I really think that Davis does not have his stamina yet. He's missed alot of conditioning time. And I think Mark Fields said it was like the 10th game or so before he felt like his old self. Granted it is to different situations I just don't think he has his wind. I love Foster but he will break your heart by dropping the ball. And I think once you get a rep for laying the ball on the ground the intensity level of the D picks up. I have always said put Davis between the tackles and run Foster outside. But they seem to do it backwards.

The O-line hasn't been run blocking well, but I also think Davis is a step even slower, and he seems more content to plow straight ahead and fall down than he used to. That said, I'm getting this inkling that we may simply be riding Davis to preserve the wear and tear on Foster, who we may see as our feature back when it actually counts. I have no facts to base that on, it's just something that has occurred to me with increasing frequency based on how and when we have used him over the first five games.

Davis just doesn't seem to keep his legs going after contact like he did before. I think he just came back too soon.

Davis's ability to punch the ball in from close range has been pretty valuable to us so far. We might not have scored TDs and won some games if not for him. Foster is not a goal line back.

I think the Eagles might have something to say about that.

IMO, the thing that seperates Foster from Davis (besides speed, which is a given) is his balance. DeShaun seems to slide off tackles with ease in the open field, whereas Davis now regularly goes down on the first hit.
