Is Foster putting up really good yards per carry because of Davis or in spite of Davis? You guys look at this stuff more in depth than I do, and I wish they would bring in Davis to spell Foster.

On the other hand, it would be hard for me to believe that Davis is the starter on the premise of loyalty.

Foster is definately more explosive, but he doesn't seem to take good care of the football. I'm sure if he didn't put it on the ground he would be starting by now.

It wasn't often that Foster was getting the ball on a play that wasn't a draw. Davis was, at best, getting a counter.

Both looked good. Davis gets some hard yards, and sometimes, no, he doesn't look like he's got tons of burst. he also doesn't have blocking, where Foster's runs are picking a hole of whoever's got a defender walled off.

No excuses. One's good for one thing, the other better situationally. Foster did get some push with a few inside runs, which is a nice look.

I'm starting to think that Foster should start.

It just kills me that they've got both of these guys and they can't get over 100 yards rushing every game. I know that's just a nice number to go for, and that it always doesn't mean a win. I guess if you're going to be a ball-control team by your own definition, you should play the guy that's putting up the numbers. At least try it and see what happens. It might be fun.

Oh, and this isn't a bitch about the win.

I cant get on board with Foster starting. He fumbles. Davis is reliable, gets tough yards, and cat be blamed for the OL not blocking a lick for him. I like Foster on passing downs, third downs, and some running plays....but not as a starter. Thats me personally though.

This makes it sound like the OL only blocks for Foster, which I don't see.

No, Foster just comes in on sometimes deemable better situations. Davis had really good carries too. He just carries more, and on more first downs with obvious run sets. ANd Im not saying Foster doesnt run well at all. Frankly, if he didnt fumble so much, Id say ok, start him, I dont care. Im not into loyalty in football, Im into results. But Foster plain out fumbles way too much. I cant start a back like that.

Drop the 3 receiver set. Put in both Foster and Davis. Combine with either 2nd receiver or 2nd TE.

    Win Superbowl.

    Profit!
