I was thinking he was slowing down some, but on some replays, they weren't quite as close as they looked on the main view shown - he wasn't pulling away, but once they got a certain distance from him, they weren't closing either. I had originally thought the one guy could have made a dive for his legs and stopped him, but on another angle not from the rear, the guy never was close enough to make a dive. And yeah, he was all shot up in one leg so I'd guess it felt something like trying to run on a foot that's asleep without the pins & needles/pain aspect.

WHich cost'd us 15 on the KO. It was a ticky tacky call, but hopefully he learned from it like smitty.

Yeah, I was talking more about the initial period right after he got by the FS. At that point I thought he'd smoke everyone else since they had to turn around and chase while he just had to pick up speed, but that LB closed on him and only failed to catch him because he got tired. It's not a big thing, I just wondered if Foster still has the same speed he had coming out of college. Since we haven't seen him make many long runs like that great one on his first preseason carry, I hadn't even really thought about it until that play.

Interesting on Foster - he's never made it happen when he had the opportunity.

Missed on the Heisman for fumbles and that booster thing.
Missed being our starter from day 1 with his knee in preseason.
Missed taking over for Davis last year with another injury.

And now he has another shot at a big payday. If he can string together some big time performances that lead to big time wins, he'll get a shitpile of money. If not - he's the same.

You know that money is in his head. A big time performance in these few games could literally be worth $20 million.

$20 million has gotta be a motivator.

One good thing is the likely depth of RB's on the market next year.

He's been productive (okay, outstanding) these past couple of weeks, but he's a twin-back system player. He and Goings look good sharing carries right now, but I still wouldn't offer Foster the kind of money that the FA market will likely offer.

Thanks for the memories (hopefully three more games worth) and best of luck to him at his next destination.
