you know he's never scored a TD from inside 5 yards in the regular season? I can think of one in his pro career, and that's that re-direct, bounce, spin, and dive job in Philly.

I'd given him shit at the start of 04 that he'd never scored a rushing TD. Now he's got 4 I think - 2 on KC's awful rush D, 2 on the awful ATL D.

I do not think he is the long term answer for us. He is too injury prone and even when healthy is very hit or miss. Our running back situation is like having four cars all of which are fixer uppers. We would be better off selling all of them and buying one new car.

Did anyone else think he didn't look particularly fast on that 70 yard touchdown? I thought once he cleared the sucked in FS that he'd blaze everyone, but he almost got walked down by one of the linebackers.

I've never thought of Foster as having blazing speed, though he seems a step ahead of Davis in that department (though that may be just the age difference). Do remember he was reportedly running on a numbed foot that day, which may have something to do with it.

I'm pretty sure he got one in the KC game. He had the long run, got tackled at like the 1 or 2, then punched it in.

I noticed the LB almost caught him.

It's not an easy call (depending on the market, and what he'll cost). If he can be had for a reasonable amount, I think we need to keep him.

We know what we get, and what we get is a runner who is better than average, and can change a game. We don't get a permier back, and shouldn;t pay him like one.

I kinda think that was what was wierd about morgan. We signed him like he was top 5. The good thing is we've been able to sign quality depth for cheap. If we can do that at RB - sign Foster as a lower-tier starter (what do those go for?), and draft / Robertson / Shelton / GOings are the backup - that's a good deal.

If Foster attracts Lamont Jordan cash - bye. I think if we can get about a 2 - 2.5 million per year deal (total), we should grab him. Hell - load it with incentives. Snaps, attempts, yards. If he runs like a top 5 back, pay him like one.

You don't pull off a 70 yard TD run if you're slow :|

On the 70-yarder, I thought he might get caught.

Didn't look like Reggie Bush, but apparently he was fast enough to score from 70 yards.

No complaints here. I will reserve those for actual fuck-ups.
