If he can be signed for the right price then he is worth keeping, otherwise send him packing and move on.

I would like to keep him and use him for what best suits him, but also have that big runner that can run the middle and punch it in on the goaline.

So only keep Foster for the right price and get somebody to replace Davis.

That's news to me. I know it was reported, but I didn't think it was true then and certainly don't now. If you superimposed an image of Collins throwing for us and throwing for the Giants, I think you'd see much the same thing. In either case, praying that a guy will change when it's very unlikely (at best) that he will, is not particularly wise. It's much better to look to a different guy who has what you want.

No. It's because you write like dukey and think like dukey, as evidenced by this statement: "this guy (if healthy) could put up LT,marshal faulk, kind of numbers." In fact, I'd almost think that you might be brothers.

Foster and Spoon, I think, are longshots at sticking.

1 - both were offered contracts prior to this year, both declined.
2 - We toss out big $$ to guys we really think are 'core' players, for whatever that's worth. See Delhomme, Smitty, Rucker, Jenks, Morgan, Minter.

I think they'll both get courtesy offers. They might bite. Foster has a legit shot here and knows the offense. Spoon loves Morgan.

But they may ( and will likely ) follow the $$, regardless of location.

It's a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the memories, DeShaun. Go find some sucker to give you way too much money. :wavey:

The best he'll ever be is a change of pace guy in this offense. He's just not durable enough. He's started about half this season, and he's already about 1 shot away from being out for a month (turf toe, shoulder). He's an explosive back who just can't stay healthy. Been there, done that. Someone said it before Christmas -- Foster = Biakabutuka v. 2.0

    Wierd it doesn;t say - it's biakabatuka.

    Here's foster to compare:

    http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302193

The BIG difference is that we never relied on Foster. He's only started 10 games in 4 years.

I guess it's unfair to compare him to timmay. He's better. Hard to say if he's more reliable, or if he's better b/c we have a better team.

Also - I can;t think of any games Timmay really won for us. DeShaun has played standout in big games - Indy 2003, Philly 2003, KC 2004, ATL 2005, which is more tan i can remember for timmy.
