Originally Foster was supposed to be back in about 4 weeks. Well, its been 7 weeks and he still isn't back and Fox has said he won't play at Dallas. Not sure you want to start him on the turf in Atlanta either. Hope he is back for Tampa!

    Fox's comments:
On if he will hold Foster out of the next two games because they are on artificial turf: Yes, that would play a part in the decision process, although the turf we are on this week (at Dallas) is a little bit different than Atlanta’s. It is a field turf that is softer. You can wear cleated shoes versus the nub type of shoes that you wear on the true carpet.

Read again. According to his comments, he could play next week. They are going to test him Wenesday. It also sounds like Moose will play. "He will get an opportunity to come back." Sounds like the doctors were holding him back.

Seems to be a bit of a pattern of holding injured guys back a bit, hoping to get them healthy. I think Smith's play tied into Foster not being rushed back this week.

Hopefully they won't rush him into full time right away. 10-15 touches at the most.

Sure will be nice to see this offense run on all cylinders. It'll be like going from a V-6 to a V-8. a little more muscle, and harder to slow down once it gets going.

I got the same vibe Piper did.

I think right now, we need Moose more than Foster.

I think they are just being extra cautious with Foster. On the Panther show this past Saturday, Rosinski asked Fox if the decision to not play Foster against Arizona is influenced by Smith's play, and Fox said that if we really needed him, Foster could play, but with Smith playing so well, they they don't need to rush him back.

So, it sounds like he could be back any game. Also, since Dallas is using that new turf, I wouldn't be surprised to see Foster a game time decision.

Bringing Foster back at Atlanta just doesn't make sense IMO. No question at all to me that Foster WILL NOT PLAY NEXT WEEK. To make his first game back on turf would be stupid. Read into it all you want Pip. Foster will not return at Atlanta.

We are going to need everyone healthy for Tampa though. Their defense is playing great right now and it will be very tough to run the ball on their front seven.

Fox directly answered this question last night on Panther Talk.

Target Return for Foster: 10/27 Tampa. If not then, the bye week is after that game, and he'd be good for the next one, 11/10 against NO.

That's what Fox said in response to a direct question about when Foster would return.
