Yeah, I agreed with that in one of the other threads. It's kinda confusing around here. I'd like to see Hoover in some of the single back 2 TE sets. Foster should be the back in spread formations.

I think its timing with Foster, just not enough reps with the OL. I`m thinking the more he is used the better the timing and the better the results.

mailman made the comment at the game today that foster looks like he runs upright.......not getting low and punching throught the whole. that may contribute to him not being as good between the tackles.

Agree with everything said about Foster here, and I had a gut reaction this weekend to his running. I watched the ATL game and the NO game back to back, and noticed a difference in his running, particularly in the second half this week. The 4th quarter was the first time, IMO, he ran with aggression. With power. Up until then, it seemed like he was hesitant. Cautious maybe. Like he was taking it easy, not running all out. But when he filled in for Davis and started breaking tackles, something in his style changed. I still don't think he's 100 percent, and won't be until next year. But he's improving bit by bit.

He does run high which compromises any power he has. I agree. That needs to be addressed, and I'm sure it will be. One thing he has not lost, however, is his hands in the passing game. He's slowly becoming a contributor as an outlet receiver. I'm surprised and encouraged by how much playing time DeShaun has already, and he seems to be getting more each week in relief of Davis.

Foster is getting every opportunity to produce. He's producing, just not like Davis. That's okay though. This is his rookie year, and now he has enough film on Davis already this season to learn all he'll need to know.

I still think they should sneak Foster out there with a 48 instead of the 20 so the OL don't know who they're blocking for.

did anyone see foster's barry-esque run in the 4th quarter- he picked up 8 yards on 3rd and 10 i believe. ran to the pile, spun to the right, juked to the left, and spun again and got tackled.

yes. if i recall from the 2002 preseason- he really ran the sweep plays well (as someone mentioned) he was patient and then put on a burst that was downright sick.
