I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that they have significant credit card debt as well.

I imagine the first thing an insurance agency will look at is the mortgage situation.

There's no doubt that they do. The way they spend money is crazy. Then they accumulate so much stuff they have yardsales just to make room.

When i went up there to pick up my brother last month, they were having a yard sale. I mean, practically brand new stuff that cost hundred or more, they were selling it for like $10. I told him (i hate the word stepdad) that he just needed to stop accumulating things. I said it jokingly with a laugh and oh he got upset. I guess i hit close to home, but this was before they told me what kind of mess they were in.

I guess they were selling things cause they knew they were moving. remember how i said my mom wouldn't let me bring back my motorcycle? it's because they had already sold it. :2:

SO, basically, these people are ignorant. Sorry, don't mean to talk about your mom like that. It's just I don't understand how people can be so stupid with regards to money.

this old dumbass just bought an HDTV and tivo for the hotel he's been living at since this happened (and is apparently planning on staying another six months). He also wants a new Blackberry Storm and pays 3x what I do on phone already.
