I think the general consensus from the Heel fans in this thread was pretty clear :

1) Our football team stinks right now.
2) We aren't ready to give up on Bunting yet. 1 more year.
3) Dick Baddour is a weenie.
4) Metro is a pain in the ass with the apparent IQ of a tse tse fly but was a hell of a baseball player for UNCC.

Does that sum it up guys?

 

Don't worry Larry, what else would you like to talk about in football? UNC sucks in football this year. Are we happy about it? No, but since I can't make the changes that need to be made, no reason for me to get bent on my the third sport of my choice.

Some may not agree and although I defend Bunting to a point, I do not think he is the right person for the job and would fire him at season's end, but I can see keeping him for another year as well.

Hell I think the little Bowden needs to go as well, while we are cleaning house in the ACC to make the conference look better.

4) double check on the first part, and don't keep up with college level players that didn't play in the bigs, and if so, my bad, never head of a metro!

Larry is just mad because of all the 1 lose teams FSU isn't higher in the polls, and that is probably because of UNC and dook in the ACC.

tommy boy has to go -- those bowden boys are living off their daddy's hard-fought reputation.

 

let me clear something up...


i was in the stands at keenan when rix nutted up and fsu lost. i also said on this board (or one of our boards) that season that fsu was going to lose at least four games -- fsu lost far too many players to overcome with talent.

anyway, fsu doesn't deserve to play for a national title this year. not with the bad play-calling, the unpreparadness for miami, and chris rix being -- well, chris rix. so, i'm not upset about where fsu is ranked -- No. 3 is damn generous.

unc's football program has been called the sleeping giant -- and i agree. i just wish someone would wake it from it's slumber.

 

That is for sure. Although I don't like FSU in football, Big Bowden is a great coach imo.

See UNC and the rest of the conference just isn't on the same level as FSU, even if one of us get's the occasional win or so. FSU has a down year with 2 or 3 loses. While everybody else in the ACC would kill for that.

None of the other teams have consistantly been a thread to FSU for more than a year at a time and then it hasn't really been close.

Now with the addition of Miami and Va. Tech, I am hoping that will attract better coaches for the other schools, better recruits for the other schools, that is if those recruits aren't already going to one of the big 3 in football.

Fever, if you want the bet to be that harsh, fine. Obviously you are such a weenie that you want me out of the ACC/Wal Mart/UNC section of this board, and that is your only recourse. I personally don't mind you in the Charlotte forum, it just solidifies everything we know about Chapel Hill fans.

 

but UNC was getting pretty close under mack. that defense was awesome.

clemson can be a winner. so can n.c. state. and georgia tech. and, heck, virginia and maryland for that matter. those guys should be 9-win programs. maybe wake is picking up the torch. with unc's standing in the state, they should win 9 games a year.
