Ahh, the old "let's change around the playcalling without shaming baby Bowden" move.

 

you're preaching to the choir -- i wanted bobby gone YEARS ago.

he's the reason this team has lost so many games in the past 5 years. conversely, he's the main draw for the recruits.

with bobby out, we wouldn't have had the chris rix mistake and the jeff bowden mistake. that's a dozen losses right there.

 

I could go either way on Bobby, but Jeff needs to go.

FWIW, you're right. .500 and a horrible recruiting class doesn't give tons of hope - but they could find their way into another average year and continue the process.

 

the hope is that jeff retains OC title and gets helped by the marshall guy. fsu's offense is back to wide-open racking up 30+ points. that way, jeff gets noticed by a smaller 1A program as a HC -- pedigree and all. he gets to leave fsu on his own and the marshall guy gets to be OC and bobby can win another title and retire with a farewell tour. kevin steele is the odds-on choice to succede bobby.
