Yes. We are talking regular season. Which is why I say it can't be done. No bowl freebies.

I think you are barking up the right tree by looking in the PAC-10 though. I started to go with UCLA instead of Oregon. Have to see how their new hire does. Maybe Washington? - depending upon who they hire after this year. Both of those teams have the resources. I just went with "the PAC-10 beats each other up" theory and left it at that.

For the most part I'm just tired of Larry jerking me around over ONE example. It's the exception, not the rule.

Edit: I'm calling the AD at Wash State and talking to them about that Idaho contract. :D

Well, therein lies the problem VP. Even if you FIND the needle in the haystack someone is going to come along and take him. I've been sweating bullets over Beamer leaving every offseason from 97-01. I think he's there for good now. But every time a team like Bama came sniffing around? I got real nervous. I wouldn't have blamed him for taking a job like that. No one would. And that is why teams inside of the top dozen or so will always piss on the lesser guys. I don't even think K ST or us belong in that list I gave. I just know that those two teams will always schedule UMass and JMU.

Of course, the fact that the big lift from the small is why I will ALWAYS root for the lesser guys too. :)

Washington was the first that came to mind, but they have some tougher non-conference games.

I dunno if UCLA can turn it around quickly enough with Carroll punking them.

    c'mon. Gimmme the bowl games.

You misunderestimate me. I ain't making a bet I can't dictate the terms on unless you are a book.

Are you one? Huh? Are you? If so, I'm ready to bet. I can control myself. Really. I can.
