It's a product of human nature to search for comfort and meaning to your life. I don't know what's so sad about finding that in a spiritual being or way of life.

Nothing wrong with a way of life or giving yourself meaning. I do it too. Everyone does. But the difference between you and me is that I don't force you to see that Nature does not actually "care" about your individual life, only you and your loved ones do, and I don't force some social behaviors on you (like minding your own business) and being satisfied with that.

But you DO do that, and you have throughout the history of this great country. At least our founding fathers were smart enough to include protections for rationality (and by extension "me") in the Constitution from Southern rednecks speaking in tongues. If not, I have no doubt I would have murdered someone by now (much like many of yours and my ancestors have done to people like me).

I know you don't see it, because you are too caught up in it, but you are only different from jihadists by degrees, not by substance.

Because christians don't ever do that, right? LOL.

I am constantly amazed that educated people in this day and age can be brainwashed into christianity. I often wonder if they are just pretending to go along with it for various reasons.

So you argue because the believers say something is true? If you REALLY believe it's not true, why argue with the believers? Do you argue with children about Santa's existence? LOL.

I'm sorry you feel that way. And fwiw, I am a believer, I am not pretending.

I don't really argue with anyone about religion. It's not worth it. And why would I argue about Santa with children? It's funny you bring him up though because he is about as legit as any biblical fairy tales of walking on water and collecting 2 of every animal. Freudian slip?

    Good luck with that.

Nope...there is plenty of evidence of a creator. I am not a biblical literalist, so there are parts of the bible I believe to be parable or instructional. There is plenty of historical evidence that supports Jesus existence, and what he said was true has not been disproven. I believe in a purpose for life as opposed to it being some cosmic accident. It's more logical to me.

And good luck with your non-belief. I hope that works out for you.

He's not trying to change your mind. He's countering your assertion that Christianity has as much "proof" as Santa Claus does.
