I'd like to go but my trip to the States this year starts one week later - I'm flying in to New York on Nov 7.

Are you going to the Packers game? It might be your last chance to see Brett Favre before he retires!

If you go, I believe it will be your first time in Minneapolis. You must go to Copeland's for a meal. The food is superb - very good Southern/Cajun cooking, stuff like Corn Cakes with Shrimp and Blackened Pork Tenderloin - my mouth is watering as I type! :D It's quite expensive but worth it, especially if you're on vacation, and they serve Newcastle Brown too!

Copeland's is on Hennepin Avenue (the main thoroughfare) near the Target Center.

I've spent the last couple of hours listening to stuff by some (relatively) new British bands - The Blueprint, Oceansize and Elviss. I won't post these in 'This Moment' because it would be meaningless to everyone else on this site. I also been playing stuff recommended by gutter in a different thread.

Hope you enjoyed the Mexican. Spookily enough, I'm currently wearing a 'Tijuana, Mexico' t-shirt that I bought when I was there a couple of years ago. I had a great 'traditional' meal, but the thing that stands out most was the way that the table was over-run with (empty) margarita glasses! There was some food in there somewhere. :D

cool beard, indeed! yup. that is the yeti. vg's hubby.

casa del sol is authentic mexican. i had iced tea (it's not the same as sweet tea. not even close.) and the chili relleno. it was not as good as i had expected. they give way too much food. i dont like eating alone. :(

Lex should stop eating alone, it will help her lose the 30 lbs that she mentioned in the 'healthy' section. :D

From seeing your photos, I don't think you need to lose weight at all, let alone 30 lbs! I'm joining in too - I'm planning to lose 16.5 lbs before November (my trip to New York). I'm not fat, but I need to lose a stone or so.

Note: a stone = 14 lbs (UK measurement)

By chance, that wouldn't be in reference to a curling stone, would it?
