in 1961. yeah, but it was different then, you see. the vikings in 1961 were a 'true' expansion team not like the texans of 2002. was different then. they (the nfl) gave the vikings all the help to be mediocre, not like they did the texans.

Gilbert was a 3rd pick...didnt Eric Turner play for us? he was a number 2 pick in 1991. Thats the only one I can think of that was a second pick that we might have had.

 

Bob Christian caught a swing pass from Frank Reich for the first preseason TD. First regular season TD was to Pete Metzelaars I believe.
