    Recruiting numbers mean something, because it is a lot harder to win consistently with just a bunch of two and three stars. That said, having three 5 star running backs doesn't help you much. You'd obviously be much better off having one 5 star running back and two 5 star linemen. Reproducing talent at skill positions helps if you have injuries, but recruiting classes are best evaluated for how they did at different positions.
