I cannot remember not just one - but TWO - ugly ass performances like those on TV to end a season. Yikes. I bitch about Fitz doing it and then White just follows it up with a monster upchuck. Way to leave a good lasting impression fellas. White had bad numbers - but the "deer in headlights" look is what surprised me. Larry can at least say "no one threw me the ball".

After letting everything that happened soak in for a few days, I'd have to vote for Darren Sproles. He basically took over the game against OU, he ran by Derrick Strait like he was standing still. Anyone know his 40 time? I don't think he'd get drafted too high because of his size, but I think he could definitely be a Warrick Dunn type guy. He stepped up when it counted the most and helped beat the #1 team in the country in the conference championship game, plus led the country in all-purpose yardage. To me, it should be either Sproles or Manning. Manning did a helluva lot with very few weapons.

Sproles is 52 yards short of 2000 rushing yards for the season. His unofficial 40 is a 4.43. He's only a junior and will be returning next season. The thing that stands out about this young man, is that even with his success, he's a very humble person. He'd much rather talk about the team rather than what record he may have broken.

he looks faster than 4.43, that's for damn sure. Hopefully KSU will be on TV around here some next year.

He looks faster than that because he's only 5' 7". The boy doesn't need to be any taller because he can squeeze sideways into holes.

Yeah, but he made Derrick Strait look hella slow, and I'd like to think that Strait is somewhere in the 4.5 range.

    Coop...

It was deja vu watching Sproles run Saturday night...looked like a faster version of Quinten Griffin last year the way he squirted through the line...Griffin finished just short of 2000 last year (I think 1986 yards or something), including the Rose Bowl, so Sproles will blow by that with the roll he is on.

Any chance you might be able to convince him to enter the NFL draft??? :D

IF I remember correctly, Strait is a solid 4.4, maybe a high 4.3's in the 40. Strait's speed did not matter though when Sproles made him miss. I watched that play over and over again on the highlights afterward, and I think it was Sproles making the play more than Strait missing. Really changes the tone of things to see -5 turned into 60!!
