You have to give him the Heisman...he is without a doubt the best in college football today. He is always doubled and still produces.

He plays a complete game and on top of that...he is a throwback sportsman...shut-up and make your statement on the field.

    No way White is better....

He blew it with the Miami game.

Make that his coach did actually. Terrible, terrible game plan for that game. Getting run over like Pitt did does not help. I know that's not Larry's fault, but that's all anyone will remember.

I figure he'll be able to take solace in a huge pro contract someday.

The award goes to the best player....I know Pitts D lost them alot of games....

As far as the Miami game...the guy was double teamed the entire game....one of the guys supposedly the best pass defender in college...and he needed help. Please...show me another player at any position that can be consistant like him under that situation. He did continue he TD streak despite that.

By the way...if you are going to "take away" from what Fitzgerald did on the field because of the lack of play of his D...then you also have to consider that White has a compliment of players around him to make him look good. Some one has to catch all those TDs that he threw...he had more than one guy to throw to.

Rivers is good too...I actually think he is the best QB in CFB...will make one hell of a pro. But still not close to Fitzgeralds talent.

I agree with you about Larry. Best player I've seen all year. He's just not gonna win. Walt should have thrown the ball to (at) him 100 times last Saturday.

That has nothing to do with the fact that he is the best player...

I think as far as it goes White has it already... which sucks ass. Supposed to goto the best INDIVIDUAL player, (and I agree it is Fitzgerald) not the good player that just happens to have the team of playmakers helping him...

I agree with you that he's the best player. I'm saying that 3 catches for 26 yards on national TV against the best team you play all year - Miami - when all the voters are at home watching you isn't going to get you within 1000 miles of the Heisman. The award has become WAY too much of a political contest to survive a blanking like that. No one saw him light up Big East teams except junkies like me that watch football every week. It sucks, but that's the way it is. Harris could have helped him tremendously by scheming better and giving him a lot more opportunities in the game with the most exposure but he didn't. And that sucks too.
