Women I've talked to have foresaken the "Lunge" for the "Plunge." It involves a heavy dose of top-shelf action. You may not be in to that, but apparently it does wonders for tightening the buns. Ask fred or builder, they'll be able to verify.

    Hey, Bunny!:)

I got out "The Firm: Time Crunch" workout tape the other day, which contained plenty of lunges, and boy, did I feel sore yesterday. Wouldn't you know the exercise I hate the most is the most effective. And, yes, I like "The Firm" tapes, except the Tortoise and Hare series, which I absolutely hate, but only the first tapes in the series with the original instructors like Janet Gretzky and Susan Harris. I still to this day cannot get through volume one with Susan Harris. That's too much of a challenge. That lady is in tip top shape. I don't like the newer "Firm" tapes, especially the brand new ones sold through the infomercials on cable. The instructors look kind of chunky, and I don't like the workouts or the music.

I like Pilates, also. I can do the intermediate level, but I enjoy Denise Austin's Pilates and Yoga tapes. She has such a great personality and her cues are easy to follow. He tapes are cheap and easy to find, which is another plus. I also like to do the Taebo Gold and Taebo Spiritual workout tapes. Thirty minutes and it's over. I like that.

  3. your knees hurt because the tendons in your knees aren't flexible. the pain will go away if you stretch them daily. it'll take a couple of month but it will go away. the patella tendon in particular shrinks in size as we age if it is not stretched.

thanks, boo. I was really afraid of lunges and squats because my legs would start trembling, and I would feel just a slight pain in my right knee.
