this is their year. The cubbies are the consensus pick to win, which means they'll finish last. with the cards being way down, the Bucs can sneak in. 74 wins takes that division.

So does everyone. Just let Yinzer have this day please. It's the one time of year he can be excited about the Pirates possibilities.

If Matt Morris can come back to his potential, this could be a pretty good staff with Zach Duke and Ian Snell.

They can't hit a lick, but with good pitching, we'll see.

Ok, his day is over. The Pirates will be 15 games under .500 by the all star break...which is really a good year for them.

duke is now their fifth starter, I believe. If he can win 10 games, that's a bonus, considering how much he's regressed over the last couple years. Gorzellany (sp?) is one to keep your eye on.

How about those 'Nats ? ? ? 2-0 !!!!!!!! I think they will make a run this year, with the new ballpark (at least for a wildcard spot).

If Duke is their 4-5 starter, I suspect he will do well. It's tough to win facing the #1-2 each start pitching for the Pirates. The kid has good stuff.
