Excellent shot. I like that you backed off and used folks in the foreground.

I ended up being lazy and not going out to get fireworks shots. I took some at a cookout yesterday and there was a great sunset at the house that I got some of (I'm attempting HDR). I'll post them tonight when I get home.

As nice as expected. I went to the HiToms game, which if you are not familiar is made up of college players from around the country. Anyway, the display was small and I couldn't get fare enough back to give the shots any background. The only one worth mentioning at all is this one.

Nice pic LD, and I agree that getting people into the shot really gives a good depth perceptive. That had to be a wide angle lens(guessing), do you have the exif on this one?
Foxman, looks like you had some great timing on your shot and with fireworks thats half the battle. Good work.

nice shot larry. yeah, i think half of the cool part about fireworks is the light they cast in the environment. such incredibly bright local light sources are pretty rare in our everyday world.

that's the good thing about fireworks -- for the most part, they are sitting still. and when they move, they may be moving when they aren't being illuminated by the fireworks.
