    Please explain the 1979 season. I don't remember anybody ever comparing 1979 to 1961, 1987, 93, or 98.

Except 80 was his contract year..... But as to why - don't know. That was the era of 25 guys, 25 cabs - maybe he wanted more of a team effort, didn't like Zim, etc.

All I know is that his swing was made to bounce the fucking ball off the monster, with the occasional pulled homer.

And weren't you arguing that he sucked every year except 75 and 79?

So are you saying today's game is the same as in 1979?

look jungle-fever, all kidding aside, calling me an idiot in a baseball thread is..... well.....just silly. I don't give a crap about your Lynn argument, but don't bring me into it. FYI, Lynn played most of the 80's for the Angels in centerfield. You arguing baseball with me is like Einstein and Homer Simpson discussing physics.

Sucked compared to his 75 and more so 79. Why couldn't he have done it every year? The Boston lineup didn't change much until Fisk left in 1980. HE had the same protection, ballpark, so what's the excuse? He's a lazy piece of shit. He resembles Vince Vaughn from "Rudy".

Natural variation - only the 77 season was an anomoly - when he hit like .260. Why aren't you bitching about Ted Williams? I mean he won the triple crown, how come he didn't do it every year? Yaz too. Lazy fuckers.

Ted Williams doesn't have a big drop off season, only when he got old. Yaz hurt his hand in 70, and had a couple of bad seasons. Everybody around New England will acknowledge that Yaz exceeded his talent and worked his ass off, unlike you guys idol Fred Lynn.

Man, you are the one giving Lynn more attention than he deserves. I just named him as a Red Sox player to start. You were the one that went on a PMS bitch fest! All we did was prove your opinion (not fact) about him wrong.
