I come from a Land Way Downunder.
I had the biggest crush on Michael Landon when I was a kid. How creepy - an eight year old girl with the friskies on a forty year old man - :worried:. Anyway - top shows when I was a lass included - Little House on the Prairie, The Brady Bunch, CHiPS (I cannot believe this hasn't been mentioned yet - Eric Estrada - ), Black Beauty, Wonder Woman, and sometimes Facts of Life and The Waltons (did anyone else wish that John Boy would get rid of that massive mole?).

Going back to the only having one channel times, we watched all sorts of things we really did not like:

Lawrence Welk (show full of old timey music, re-runs even in the 70s)

Dance Fever (disco show where couples danced to win)
