    On the Panthers:

Jake Delhomme - In the past our QB's have been so mellow, but when Jake gets going during a game and starts throwing his hands in the air getting all excited...it puts me on the edge of my seat. I love the guys controlled intensity and how it infects the rest of the team.

    In the NFL:

LaDanian Tomlinson - Quite unassuming, professional. He's really a throwback type of personality. Not only is he electrifying to watch on the field, but he is a class act off it.

I don't know if he is my favorite player, but I sure do like the way he goes about his bidness. I hope he has a long run in the NFL.

Jake is my favorite Panther too. Hard not to like the guy especially when he leads your team to a superbowl.

Al Wallace - He took less money to stay here as a backup on a good defense after a season where he could easily have taken some much bigger money to start somewhere. Every time he's in the game, he performs and never bitches about not being a starter.

This is sort of hard, but at the end of the day my favorite Panther is Jake because he is such a humble guy sitting in the least humble seat on the team.

As for the NFL, I must say Curtis Martin is my favorite player. He is a good church going mommas boy who has never complained about be underrated nearly his entire career yet has done far more than most who get more headlines.

Entering his 11th NFL season he has 13,366 quietly gained yards at 4.1 an attempt along with 3211 recieving yards at 7.0 ypc. 95 total TD's in his career and he is again favored to be a top 5 RB this season.

After a TD pass, I believe aganst NE in the SB, a player bumped Jake and talked shit obviously. Jake shook his head and pointed at him, half grinning and half threateningly, and said something like " I smoked your ass then and I"m gonna do it again". It gave me a really good feeling. I don't know why, but I was ready to lace'em up.
