No way we're banking on Peete. It's like 1995 all over again, except now we've got cap problems.

Peete hasn't tossed a ball in the regular season since 1999. He hasn't played more than 5 games in a season since 1995 (that's how many Reich played, ain't it).

    This is nuts. Totally nuts.

meat, Fasani starting may not be bad. He may suck, but maybe he'll be a freak who wins every game. He can't be much worse than Weinke or Peete has been so far.

We won 1 freaking game last year. Think about it. I'm betting, in my worst nightmare we won't go 1-15 this year. I'm thinking we'll luck into 3-13, no matter who the QB is.

    I'm not saying it's bad. It's nuts.

    It's fucking deja vu.

A shock to the system at first but afterall Weinke has absolutely sucked.

Initial reaction before seeing what the coaches and experts have to say:

The thinking is easy. Weinke has totally sucked and staff has lost hope in him. Fasani has shown a lot of promise but they must feel he isn't ready. Peete looks better than Weinke at the moment and there's a chance they could win with him. I don't like him and therefore never allowed myself to consider this nitemare ... but I guess it makes sense. They'll keep Fasani in the wings until they think he's ready. Like you said meat, 8 games in ... If Peete sucks badly then it will be Fasani in trial by fire much sooner than 8 games in ... wouldn't surprise me to see him in second half of next week if offense is stalling and we're behind but still in the game.

Hope Peete learns how to receive a snap and how to get a play off in time before next week.

Me thinks they have conceded the season. Can I revise my earlier foolish prediction of playoffs?

Weird. Weinke did not look this bad last season. Maybe it's the shoulder. But I also think that they have fallen for Fasani and are preparing for him to take over.

Noticed Walls last game on the bench yucking it up with Weinke. Wasn't he playing cards with Lewis last year and B the year before? I think Walls is a frickin QB jink.

Didn't I read that Weinke had the next to worst QB rating in the league last year? He just seemed to degenerate as the season unfolded. But, then again, the whole team degenerated as the season unfolded.

Good take on Walls--Peete and Fasani need to throw to him often when he's open but stay away from him otherwise!
