anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
makes some sense. kick returner, corner, first round talent, and of course he has knee problems. Moth to flame.

  3. He's had a couple of spained knees in the past but was able to play through them....he can play hurt. His latest injury was a broken bone in his foot. It was supposed to have healed in 3 months but when they looked at it, it hadn't healed. He was then faced with surgery which would have meant IR, or rehad. He's been rehabbing for months and it has now supposeabley healed. He missed most of camp and just played in his 1st preseason game last week...and played well. I question whether his foot is really 100%.

He had another injury to his hand in which tendons were severed...he claims to have done it falling down stairs (yeah right). He missed the last 4 weeks of the season two years.

He really has been pretty healthy, injuries were not part of the decision.

The rumor from beat writers that cover the Lions is that he lacked intensity and his off field work-ethic was not good. He was also beaten out for the nickel back job by a rookie. MorningWood gave him a cheap shot by singling out his "character" in his post cut date press confrence.

  4. Tiorted, do recember Thanksgiving game of 1998 - Steelers vs. Lions? During one of Kordell's meltdown (years)...Fair was returning a kickoff, and was destroyed by Orpheus Roye. I hurt watching the contact on that one...

  5. that's the game where the refs blew the overtime coin toss. I don't remember the hit....Fair got hit hard a lot doing returns.

they actually signed Desmond Howard because Fair was getting too beat up doing returns...he's fearless...has had a few concussions from doing returns.

  6. That IS the game they screwed-up the toss - I'd forgotten about that. Kind of funny Batch ended up in Pittsburgh, too. Good luck to your Lions this Fall.
