What a fucking dumbass you are.

How many teams can boast back-to-back Final Fours? Not a whole hell of a lot I'd say.

And yes, Michigan has beaten Duke a few times since 1991.

Duke went to five straight final fours between from 1988 to 1992. They went to seven out of nine final fours between 1986 to 1994. Duke went 4-0 vs Michigan while the fab five were there.

UNC has went to back to back final fours four separate times.

Kentucky went to three straight final fours between 96-98.

Georgetown went to back to back in 84 and 85

UCLA went to ten straight final fours from 67-76 and three straight from 06-08

Florida went to back to back final fours in 06 and 07

UNLV went back to back in 90 and 91

I know all that but thanks for listing them all out. Guess what, most/all of those teams are famous too.

edit: You forgot Maryland (and Duke in the 60s.) Probably a few other programs too. Point is it's pretty rare. I believe Michigan was a #6 seed in 1991 as well.

It's a list that includes the four best college basketball programs. The only other programs who can claim that are UNLV, Florida, Maryland and Georgetown, which all won championships (Florida won two obviously.)

I would have to check and see if that's the whole list, pretty sure Ohio State had three straight Final Fours in the 60s. Cincinatti might have a couple in a row too.

I still think their basketball accomplishments (speaking of Michigan now) speak for themselves. You have to consider they started five freshmen on their first FF team too. Yes, it's been done (better) by other programs but it's still a good accomplishment. I didn't see the documentary yet but I wonder if they reference the 1989 team at all. I also wonder if they would have considered Michigan without the 89 championship.

edit: If the point is that the documentary didn't get made because of their basketball accomplishments, I wholeheartedly agree. The documentary was made because of their 'cultural impact' and because Jalen Rose wanted to tell the 'story.' I'm just saying it's not like they didn't accomplish anything in college, in my eyes they accomplished a lot. There are a LOT of great teams that never made one Final Four, much less two.
